ENDA ENERGIE Strengthens the Capacities of Facilitators for the RFA Project in Senegal
October 2024 marked an important milestone for the RFA Project in Senegal. A week-long intensive training session was held in Saly for the project facilitators, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively support Women's Promotion Groups (GPFs) and better manage their own affairs.
This training, focused on entrepreneurship, organizational dynamics, and leadership, exceeded expectations. It combined theory and practice, allowing participants not only to understand the basic concepts of entrepreneurship but also to acquire concrete skills that can be immediately applied in the field. The facilitators are now better equipped to assist GPFs and last-mile entrepreneurs (LME) in marketing improved cookstoves, a key component of the RFA Project.
The training strengthened the facilitators' capacities in the following areas:
- Entrepreneurship: business plan development, opportunity identification, financial management.
- Organizational Dynamics: teamwork, project management, effective communication.
- Leadership: decision-making, team motivation, conflict resolution.
The unanimous testimonies of the participants highlight the quality of the training and the opportunity provided by ENDA ENERGIE through this project, funded by the Green Climate Fund and implemented by GIZ. The enthusiasm of the facilitators is palpable, and their desire to continue this journey reflects the positive impact of the training.
This training represents not only an investment in the facilitators' skills but also a step forward in empowering women and promoting sustainable cooking practices.
The ultimate goal is to contribute to the promotion of climate-friendly cooking by encouraging Senegalese households to adopt improved cookstoves. Thanks to this training, the facilitators of the RFA Project are now better equipped to achieve this ambitious goal and contribute to sustainable development in Senegal.
