Strengthening the role and the place of civil society organisations from the South, in the implementation of a transformative 2030 Agenda

Co-funded by the EU for a period of 4 years (2019-2023), this programme is part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17 which aims to consolidate the means of the global partnership for sustainable development. With this action, Enda Third World as an International Network seeks "to contribute, through the 2030 Agenda, to transforming societies in the South into actors mastering the challenges that impact their future, for more sustainable and inclusive development". Enda Third World is aware that the 2030 Agenda is the result of a broad consultation process aimed at ensuring inclusive participation in its implementation, due to its universality. Thus, the 2030 Agenda represents a new paradigm for promoting development. The project is implemented by Enda TM in 10 countries of its network, on the three continents (Africa, Asia, Americas) where it operates, in order to ensure equitable, sustainable development and stimulate inclusive growth.

With this programme, Enda wishes to: 

- build the capacities of grassroots stakeholders in particular the most vulnerable groups and involve them as actors of sustainable and inclusive development 

- bring civil society organizations in the South to domesticate and get to grips with the SDGs and to change development paradigms 

- bring civil society organizations from the South to assume an increased role in the definition, implementation and monitoring of policies linked to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda
