Multi-actor Partnership (MAP) on Climate and Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance (CDRFI)

Statut: On going

Durée du projet: 2019 - 2021

Step 1 - Idea
Climate and Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance (CDRFI) is a key means of promoting reliable and timely responses to climate change-related disasters.

This strategic project developed in collaboration with the InsuResilience Global Partnership (IGP) is part of this perspective. It seeks to strengthen the resilience of developing countries and protect the lives and livelihoods of the poorest and most vulnerable against the impacts of climate-related disasters (see: www.insuresilience.org). It aims to create a multi-actor partnership (MAP) at the national level on climate and disaster risk finance and insurance (CDRFI). It consists of bringing together all the stakeholders and building their capacities in order to carry out concerted initiatives to support vulnerable groups threatened by climate and disaster risks. In addition to Senegal, the project is also implemented in Laos, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Madagascar, the Philippines, and the Caribbean (Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, and Grenada).

Step 2 - Collaboration
