Step 1 - Idea

The project "Strengthening the Resilience of Women Producer Groups in Seven Localities in the Delta" (Renforcement de la résilience des groupements de femmes productrices dans sept localités du delta pour la sécurité alimentaire ) is an agricultural value chain development project for food security. The approach adopted in this project consists in articulating four (4) types of access: access to land, access to energy services, access to climate information, and access to markets. Thus, the project aims at increasing the agricultural productivity of women producers in the Senegal River delta through their access to good land, sustainable land management, and access to energy for agricultural value chain development, technical and managerial capacity building and dissemination of climate information. Initially planned for a period of two (2) years, 2016-2018, the project has been extended twice and is currently ongoing.
